The Mil Palmeras town is a coastal town in the municipality of Pilar de la Horadada (Orihuela) that was born as an urbanization adjacent to the coast.
The area has developed in recent years thanks to tourism and we can find hotels, aparthotels, restaurants and cafes.

Its Mil Palmeras Beach is known for its fine sand and crystal clear waters. It is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in the Mediterranean and has been awarded the blue flag badge. Access is simple and it has a large parking lot that makes parking very easy.

It is quite long, perfect for walks. It is located at the foot of a small cliff, which means that it is protected from the wind and the sea is quite calm.

In the summer months we can find hammock rentals and a play area for children. It has beach bars on the sand that really liven up that part of the beach. Its facilities are very good, with a volleyball area and access for the disabled.

It is a perfect beach to enjoy the day, very quiet during the week. In high season (July and August) things change and it usually gets quite crowded, although its large size means that it is not too overwhelming.

Clean and crystal clear waters
Its waters are some of the cleanest that we can find in the Mediterranean, and an undoubted example of its quality is the presence of Posidonia oceanica along the coast.
